Mykonos is incredibly picturesque, with it’s pretty, narrow stone-flagged streets, and famous white buildings awash with splashes of colour from the fragrant, trailing bougainvillea cascading from the balconies. beautifully contrasting with the distinctive bright blue shutters at the windows, something the island is renowned for !
In true, authentic style you will certainly be taken in by your surroundings as you meander along the lively waterfront of Mykonos Town, passing the multitude of fishing boats. whilst watching the fishermen mending their nets, and chatting away to each other, spotting the traditional windmills, colourful Taverna’s and a plethora of bars, even the blue of the ocean appears even more intense. Just a few of the memories you will have from your Mykonos holiday
Mykonos Town certainly offers a wonderful selection of boutiques, great restaurants where you can dine under the stars, plus stylish bars and vibrant nightclubs to dance the night away.
Beyond the town, the island’s indented coastline boasts a succession of delightful villages oozing the wonderful Greek hospitality and boasting golden sand beaches, with many of them offering water sports as well as excellent swimming. Getting around Mykonos is really easy with frequent bus services and both taxis and hire cars being readily available to explore the island, I most certainly recommend a visit to one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece, The Sacred island of Delos is just a half hour’s sailing away.
